Spring Break
One thing that I hope to do while on spring
break is to try to hang out with some of my friends from my old school in Amherst.
But since Amherst has already had their spring break a week ago I do not know
if I will be able to. So maybe I can if I do not have to work on the weekends. I
would want to do this because I have not really been talking to my friends in Amherst
that much since I changed schools. Plus doing school work and working late has
not really been giving me any chances to go to a friend’s house lately. So over
spring break I hope that I am able to see one of my good friends from Amherst and
catch up on everything to see what is new, and what happened.

I Don't Know About This?
A time that I was given a responsibility that I did
not think I could handle was my first day working at Five Below in Avon. When I
arrived there, the manager showed me the basic things that I had to do. Like
fold t-shirts, take out the garbage, sweep the floors, and stock items on the
shelves. Then I had to learn how to work the cash register. So he had another
worker train me on the register and it only took about 30 minutes to learn how
to do everything. However, I was still a little unsure how to exchanges and coupons
that customers would bring in. The manager then said that I was to work the
register until we closed knowing that I had just learned. Many customers came
in that night too, so I was ringing up people left and right. I had some
trouble along the way but I asked for help to fix the problems. The job is also
very stressful, because I have to make sure that there is the right amount of
money in the register according to the receipts. But at the end of the day when
we closed, the manager said I did a good job on my first day. Then he had me
sweep the entire store! -_-

Breaking a Promise and Almost Friendship
The one time that I broke a serious promise was
a while ago. So it is Austin, Anthony, and me are all really good and close friends. One day when I was hanging out with Austin and he told me something
bad that I did not know about Anthony. Austin made me promise that I would not
tell Anthony what he told me. A week past and I still had not told Anthony what
Austin told me. Anthony called me and he wanted to hangout during the weekend. I
went over his house and I being a good friend told him what Austin had said
about him. Anthony was mad, but he thanked me for telling him. Austin was
having a big Halloween party at his house with everyone friend school there.
Anthony decided to confront him about the situation. My two friends were
arguing at each other so decided to step in. I calmed them both down and they
said sorry to one another. After the problem was solved, we went back to the party and had a great time
that night! All three of us are still friends to this day and will always be
friends!

Just Trust Me Bro
A time in my life where I had to convince someone
that they could trust me was actually a few days ago that this happen. When I play
video games I play on the Ps3, so I met these guys one day while I was playing.
So they asked me if I wanted to join their game so that we could team up and
play together, because I am like the best Call of Duty player ever. So after a while
we all became really good and close friends for almost two years now. This game
called Mine Craft came out for the Ps3 just recently and I wanted to get it. My
friend wanted me to get it also so that we could play it together. I told him I
had the money but no ride to get the game. So my friend that lives in Texas said
that he would just go run to the store and buy me a money card. Which he would
then send the code to me through the Ps3. I had to convince him that he could
trust me and that I would pay him back the same way. I told him if I make
promises to people, that I keep my word.

Struggles Paragraph From Final Essay
One
subject that I struggle in this year is geometry. I have always had a hard time in
math class in school and geometry is no different. I find geometry the hardest
subject that I take this year. Geometry is a hard class to me because it is
difficult to study for it, and when it comes to taking the tests, I do not
understand half of the questions. It is also the least interesting subject that
I am taking, so it is hard to pay attention in class, especially when the class
is always being disrupted by a few of the students. In class, I also do not
like to raise my hand for help or to ask a question because I think it would be
a stupid question or an easy problem to solve, so I never fully understand how
to do certain problems. Another subject that I find difficult is a college
class called SDEV. We are almost half way through the class and I have no idea
what I am going to do for the volunteer work for my project. There are like
three projects due before the class is finished and no one knows what they
really are how to do them. This makes me really stressed out about this class
because it is constantly on my mind. Finally, the OGT’s are another big
struggle this year for me, and apparently, everyone else. All the teachers are
stressing about the OGT’s and are constantly giving us practice tests to do and
I feel completely tested out. The tests are also graded and actually affect my
grade so I have to worry about doing my best on all of them so they do not hurt
my grades. In addition, the OGT’s cause a lot of anxiety; because I am always
thinking that, I am not going to pass one of them. Therefore, this is also very
stressful just thinking about it all. However, my struggles have led me to some
of my accomplishment because I have been studying more than I have before and I
try my best in all my subjects.

Taking the Math OGT
The OGT test that I feel the most nervous about to
take would have to be the math test. Out of all of them, I feel nervous about
this one the most because I am not the best person when it comes to math. I
have always struggle in math throughout school. In addition, when I learn new material in math
I tend to forget about the old stuff and focus more on the new material that we
are learning how to do. I also find it hard to remember all the short cuts and
formulas to problems. It is also hard to stay focused in math because I tend to
zone out and I do not hear everything that is said in class, sorry Mr. Vasi. This
is why I feel more nervous about the math OGT test than the other tests. Therefore,
to help me change my feelings about the math OGT, I am going to try and stay
focused in class, and take practice tests online to help me become more successful
on the real test in March.
