Something I Always Wanted!

Something that I desperately wanted when I was in my younger days was a four wheeler. I cannot remember why I wanted a four wheeler so bad when I was little, but I did. Every Christmas I would ask for a four wheeler on my Christmas list for Santa when I still believed in him, and I was hoping he would bring me one. Then one year for Christmas, when I was like five or six years old, I woke up went down stairs. By the tree there was one of those little battery charged four wheelers, and I was so excited to have finally gotten one. Since I was getting older, I out grew my four wheeler and sold it at a garage sale. I had so much fun on it, that I wanted an actual four wheeler. So I asked for one and got one for my twelfth birthday as a present. I had it for about four years and had so much fun riding it. Then I had to make a hard decision, keep my four wheeler or sell it for a car. I chose to sell it for my first car and on my sixteenth birthday I got a car. Now I cannot wait to get my license so I can drive my new car around with my friends!

Something Unusual Over the Weekend

Something that I did over the weekend that can be considered unusual to me would be that I went to the movie theater. I went to the movies with my girlfriend Caitlyn and we saw the new Hunger Games Catching Fire together. I paid for the tickets, popcorn, candy, and the drinks which were really expensive, because we were at the Midway Mall movie theater. I thought it would be nice to take her out to see that movie because she really wanted to see it. This was very unusual for me because I normally don’t go out to see movies that much because there too expensive for me, and I don’t really have that much money. I usually go to see a movie like maybe three times a year otherwise I just wait till they come out on demand, and watch them then. Plus Caitlyn said she had a good time that night so that’s all I care about.

Johnny Cupcakes Presentation

The most entertaining and influential thing about Johnny Cupcakes presentation was all the funny jokes that he said, and the magic trick that he performed. I also liked how he told everyone the stories about his life. Like how began selling things to make money and start his business. This then led to his successful T-shirt Company. The message Johnny was trying to get across was that you should follow your goals and dreams in life even if people try to say otherwise. This message was very influential and it kind of inspired me to maybe start something one day, even though I have no clue what that might be. I thought that Johnny’s presentation was very funny, entertaining, and inspiring.

Ninja or Pirate?

If I had to pick between a ninja and a pirate to be for a day I would choose to be a pirate. I would choose to be a pirate for a day because a pirate can do whatever he wants whenever he wants, and does not have to follow the rules. They get a lot of  respect too if you’re a famous pirate. Pirates wear some cool stuff too like wear eye patches, peg legs, hooks, and hats. They also sometimes have parrots or monkeys as their sidekicks which would be cool to have. Pirates also have big ships they command with cannons and a crew. Finally the best part of being a pirate is the gold. I think finding lost treasure would be really fun and interesting to do. Plus if you find any treasure you could become rich off of it. Then I would keep all the gold that I had back into the my real life so I would be rich. These are the reasons why I would be a pirate.

The Importance of Technology In My Life

Technology is an important aspect of my everyday life because technology such as iPods and game systems like the Ps3 and Xbox360 provide entertainment for me. When I am playing video games or either listening to my favorite song I can relax and take my mind off everything and enjoy the game or music. But sometimes I think about things when I play them. I also do this if there is a big test coming up, so that I am not stressed out about it. Technology such as computers can help me with my school work. For projects I am able to research information for the topic that I am on. I can use the computer to look at my grades on the school web site and lessons for that week so I can get ahead. These are the reasons why technology is an important aspect of my life.

My Favorite Hobby

If I had to pick one favorite hobby or activity out of the many things that I enjoy doing it would have to be, playing video games. I first started playing video games when I was like five years old. My gaming first stared on the computer, then to the Nintendo64, then to the Ps, then from that to the first Xbox.  If my Mother did not think otherwise I would make playing video games my career and I would play them 24/7, because there my favorite thing to do. The game systems that I have include the Xbox 360 and the Ps3.  I like to play all kinds of games, from shooters, racing, strategy, and to games like MineCraft. My favorite games and series that I enjoy playing would be the Halo series, Forza 4, Skyrim Elder Scrolls, Far Cry 3, GTA 5, and for my more competitive side of me for gaming the Call of Duty series. When it comes to Call of Duty I do not mess around because I am a very competitive player and do not like to lose. I even have a clan on Call of Duty and we are really good in my opinion. But I also like to just have fun and talk to my friends when playing online.

Something I Would Change

If I could change one thing that has happened previously in my life, it would be to have gotten my drivers permit sooner than I did. This change would affect me if it could happen. When I turned fifteen and a half in June I could have taken the test to get my permit, but instead I procrastinated. Well first off I did not feel like or want to read the book because I do not like to read or study. I also thought that it would be really hard and fail the test. This was over the summer break too, so I wanted to have fun and not study for a test. So over the summer I hung out with my friends, went to parties, and most of the time I played video games, because I am a hardcore gamer. But over the summer my mom kept bothering me about it so I finally studied some of the book and went to go take the test. When we got there the guy at the counter ask me some questions then I proceeded to one of the computers that were open. I began the test and read the first question carefully, and guess what? I missed the first question and I said to myself “this is really how it is going to be”. It doesn’t help that in the corner of the screen that it says eleven wrong equals fail. In the end though I only missed five out of forty. I also thought that the test was very easy too. I regret waiting so long to take the test, because now I have to wait longer until I can get my license. So if I could, I would change it so that I would have taken the test earlier.

My #1 Value

The person that is the most important to me and who I value the most, is my mother. I value her the most because she was the one who gave birth to me and raised me or else I would not be here. Throughout my life she has taken care of me. She has done this by giving me a very nice house to live in. She also provides me with food from her amazing dinners that she makes every night. She also buys me very nice things like clothes, shoes, and other things I like. My mom can be hard on me at times, but I know it is because she loves and cares about me. She also does this because she wants me to become a responsible and successful person. In my opinion, I think that I have the best Mom ever. This is the person that I value the most and love in my life.

My Summer

The one interesting thing that happened this past summer was that I went to Cedar Point. It’s not really that interesting because a lot of people go, but that’s basically the only fun thing I did over the summer. So I’m going to tell you about that. Well my grandma and grandpa took my two cousins, Quintin, Aidan and I to Cedar Point on a Tuesday. When we got there, there was a line to get in at the gate. After waiting in line we eventually got to the front and discovered that our online tickets wouldn’t let us in until ten o’clock, because we were not staying at the hotel there, so we were not allowed early entry to the park. So after waiting an hour in the slowly rising temperature we were finally allowed in. Since we were at the back of the park my grandpa wanted to go on the Magnum as the first ride of the day. I thought that was pretty crazy considering that I haven’t been there in a year. So we got up to the ride quickly, because the wait was only fifteen minutes long, I was already freaking out and this was my cousin Quintin’s first time riding it. Of course my grandpa wanted to sit in the very front to. I was freaking out even more when we started to climb the hill on the ride. But after the first ride I can usually ride anything. After we got off I went to go look at the pictures of us with my grandma and when we looked back my grandpa and my cousin Quintin they were gone. I was like wow they left us just like that. Two hours later we met back up with them after they had road all the good rides. Later that day my fifty seven year old grandpa wanted to ride the Top Thrill Dragster. He asked me and I said “hecks no”. We watched him ride it and for the rest of the day he made fun of me and my cousins for being chickens. So my day at Cedar Point was fun even though I didn’t get to ride some of the rides I wanted to. Well that was my interesting thing I did over the summer.

"The Lord is My God"

Well to start off, I never really liked my name. I always thought it sounded more like a girl's name instead. When I was younger, some kids also thought the same thing and use to make fun of me for it. My name is like glue and after being stuck with it for fifteen years, I eventually got use to it. But as I got older, I began to realize that my name was different and unique. When my mom was naming me, she wanted a name from the bible. Instead of my name being spelled Elijah like in the Bible, my Mom changed the spelling to Alijah to make it different and unique. My name's origin is actually a Hebrew name which translates to "the lord is my god". There was also a Hebrew prophet who lived during the ninth century B.C. whose name was Elijah. So now that I know this, I don't care what people have to say or think about my name, because I know that my name is unique and different.

Alijah Gonzales's Rule

Some people are born with disabilities, mentally and physically. Which can cause them not to be able to take certain opportunities in life. This could also not allow them to enjoy life like someone who was born healthy. So my rule is to make the best of what of what I have. I can now take advantage of opportunities, and I can also enjoy my life the way I want to live it. This is one of my number one rules and most important to follow besides being honest, respectful, and treating others how I want to be treated. I think that if everyone followed this rule people could do much more in life by becoming something they always wanted to be or simply by doing something new and exciting. People could also become good citizens and be successful by following all the rules and by becoming productive members of  society. So live life to the fullest and take advantage of the abilities and opportunities provided.
