Something I Would Change
If I could change one thing that has happened
previously in my life, it would be to have gotten my drivers permit sooner than
I did. This change would affect me if it could happen. When I turned fifteen
and a half in June I could have taken the test to get my permit, but instead I
procrastinated. Well first off I did not feel like or want to read the book
because I do not like to read or study. I also thought that it would be really
hard and fail the test. This was over the summer break too, so I wanted to have
fun and not study for a test. So over the summer I hung out with my friends,
went to parties, and most of the time I played video games, because I am a
hardcore gamer. But over the summer my mom kept bothering me about it so I finally
studied some of the book and went to go take the test. When we got there the
guy at the counter ask me some questions then I proceeded to one of the
computers that were open. I began the test and read the first question
carefully, and guess what? I missed the first question and I said to myself
“this is really how it is going to be”. It doesn’t help that in the corner of
the screen that it says eleven wrong equals fail. In the end though I only
missed five out of forty. I also thought that the test was very easy too. I
regret waiting so long to take the test, because now I have to wait longer
until I can get my license. So if I could, I would change it so that I would
have taken the test earlier.

My #1 Value
The person that is the most important to me and who I value the most, is my mother. I value her the most because she was the one who gave birth to me and raised me or else I would not be here. Throughout my life she has taken care of me. She has done this by giving me a very nice house to live in. She also provides me with food from her amazing dinners that she makes every night. She also buys me very nice things like clothes, shoes, and other things I like. My mom can be hard on me at times, but I know it is because she loves and cares about me. She also does this because she wants me to become a responsible and successful person. In my opinion, I think that I have the best Mom ever. This is the person that I value the most and love in my life.

My Summer
The one interesting thing that happened this past
summer was that I went to Cedar Point. It’s not really that interesting because
a lot of people go, but that’s basically the only fun thing I did over the
summer. So I’m going to tell you about that. Well my grandma and grandpa took
my two cousins, Quintin, Aidan and I to Cedar Point on a Tuesday. When we got
there, there was a line to get in at the gate. After waiting in line we
eventually got to the front and discovered that our online tickets wouldn’t let
us in until ten o’clock, because we were not staying at the hotel there, so we were
not allowed early entry to the park. So after waiting an hour in the slowly
rising temperature we were finally allowed in. Since we were at the back of the
park my grandpa wanted to go on the Magnum as the first ride of the day. I
thought that was pretty crazy considering that I haven’t been there in a year.
So we got up to the ride quickly, because the wait was only fifteen minutes
long, I was already freaking out and this was my cousin Quintin’s first time riding
it. Of course my grandpa wanted to sit in the very front to. I was freaking out
even more when we started to climb the hill on the ride. But after the first
ride I can usually ride anything. After we got off I went to go look at the
pictures of us with my grandma and when we looked back my grandpa and my cousin
Quintin they were gone. I was like wow they left us just like that. Two hours
later we met back up with them after they had road all the good rides. Later
that day my fifty seven year old grandpa wanted to ride the Top Thrill
Dragster. He asked me and I said “hecks no”. We watched him ride it and for the
rest of the day he made fun of me and my cousins for being chickens. So my day
at Cedar Point was fun even though I didn’t get to ride some of the rides I wanted
to. Well that was my interesting thing I did over the summer.

"The Lord is My God"
Well to start off, I never really liked my name. I always thought it sounded more like a girl's name instead. When I was younger, some kids also thought the same thing and use to make fun of me for it. My name is like glue and after being stuck with it for fifteen years, I eventually got use to it. But as I got older, I began to realize that my name was different and unique. When my mom was naming me, she wanted a name from the bible. Instead of my name being spelled Elijah like in the Bible, my Mom changed the spelling to Alijah to make it different and unique. My name's origin is actually a Hebrew name which translates to "the lord is my god". There was also a Hebrew prophet who lived during the ninth century B.C. whose name was Elijah. So now that I know this, I don't care what people have to say or think about my name, because I know that my name is unique and different.
